Preschool — Ages 3 through 6

Each curriculum area in the Preschool program is sequentially developed. The program is suited to fulfill the needs of each child self-satisfactorily, and the embedded advanced concepts and skills are an excellent foundation for future learning in later grades.

Who should apply?

LGM Preschool classes are comprised of children aged 3 to 6 years old. We strongly encourage all interested families to follow our 3 step process to get started.

Rich learning environment.

The Montessori Primary classroom is a rich environment filled with lots of movement, mindfulness, conversation, singing, art, story-telling, working with others, happily engaging in collaborative work, and a love of learning.

 

Foster intrinsic motivation.

We foster each child’s innate sensibilities and Sensitive Periods at their peak.

  • We cultivate concentration and coordination.

  • We build character and deepen confidence.

  • We foster problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-regulation, with the vocabulary to care for themselves, others, and the environment.

 

A special place for learning.

The Montessori Primary classroom is a Prepared Environment for children of mixed ages and abilities.

  • Children self-select and manipulate specially designed hands-on multi-sensory materials.

  • The curriculum is seen in the materials and activities on the shelves.

  • Montessori Curriculum: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language,

    • Cultural Studies-botany, geography, zoology, art, music, mindfulness, and movement.

  • Guided by their teachers, with an emphasis on individualized education and advancement in academic areas.
