Welcome to the Lefferts Gardens Montessori Parents Activity Group (PAG)!
We are excited to welcome you into the LGM PAG family and are excited to get to know all of you and your children.
A community is only as great as the sum of all of its members. At Lefferts Gardens Montessori we have an extraordinary community made up of talented and dedicated teachers, staff and parents and energetic, smiling, inquisitive and growing children.
We are here to foster and build an inclusive community and we are dedicated to supporting our children, our teachers, our families and our administration.
Our mission is fourfold:
o We serve as a resource for the children at Lefferts Gardens Montessori by facilitating enrichment activities and helping to organize class trips.
o We serve as a resource for the parents, by providing support and facilitating a forum to positively and constructively discuss the learning environment of Lefferts Gardens Montessori.
o We act as a collaborative and positive resource for the teachers, by supporting classroom and extracurricular activities and relaying parents’ideas to the staff.
o We are community builders. PAG works to foster a sense of community among PAG families by organizing and promoting family-friendly activities.
We need you in order to achieve our goals. Through fundraisers, community events,volunteering in classrooms or lending a hand to a fellow parent, we hope that you willcommit to becoming an active and involved member of our community in a way thatmakes you feel most comfortable.
And while we cannot be all things to all people, as a board we strive to address all of our parents’ questions and concerns and do so in a respectful manner. So please, never hesitate to reach out to one of us.

PAG Communication
PAG communicates with parents in the following ways:
• Via the PAG page on the new LGM website
Here you will find all official communications from PAG, including information on events, necessary forms, the link to PayPal as well as the link to our PAG email address. When in doubt, check the website!
• Via email
Used very judiciously, PAG will send out the INITIAL announcements to parents about events via email. Emails will provide links to the PAG webpage.
• Via a list-serve
All PAG announcements will be posted to the list-serve. All parents will be invited to join the list-serve, but membership is not necessary and is up to each person. Guidelines for list-serve usage can be found here.
• General Meetings
PAG holds general parent meetings once a semester. Childcare is provided at these events.
• Lunch box mail
Teachers will put flyers & PAG letters in your child’s lunch box on occasion so be on the lookout.
Parents can communicate with PAG in the following ways:

• Via phone (numbers listed on contact sheet).
• At General Meetings.
• At school during drop off or pick up or any school related event.

The Lefferts Gardens Montessori Parent Activity Group is hosting its Annual
Halloween Kiddie Disco. Saturday October 22nd from 2-6PM at Crystals Bar & Lounge.

Pizza Wednesdays have become a much loved LGM tradition. It gives you a much needed break from packing lunch-- and its fun for the kids! PAG arranges for pizza and apple juice for each class on a weekly basis. Pizza Wednesdays begins on October 5th.
